/10About this Hop
Beata is a lovely aroma hop with a classically British complexity. It is not well established but definitely one to experiment with. Its high Beta acid levels are noteworthy.
Breeding
Beata was bred for its Beta content at Horticulture Research International (HRI) at Wye College in the UK, in 1995. It went to farm trials in 2006 and is a hedgerow plant, that is late maturing with its crop on the top half of the wirework structure. It is noted for its small late cones.
